Privacy Policy

Siplys is a drink discovery service launching in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. This policy describes what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it in plain language on purpose.

Information we collect

Launch waitlist. When you claim a First sip badge, we collect your email address, along with the signup time and a record that it came from this site.

Partner applications. When a shop or pop-up applies to partner with Siplys, we collect the information submitted in the application: business name, contact name, email, phone (optional), Instagram handle, website (optional), city and state, business type, drink categories, answers about photos and rewards, pop-up frequency, a short description of the business, and a record of your consent to these terms and whether you opted into partner updates.

Technical information. Like nearly every website, our hosting and security providers automatically log basic technical data when you visit, such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. We use IP addresses briefly in memory to rate limit our signup forms and protect against abuse; this rate limiting data is not stored in our database.

What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not run ads. We do not use third party advertising trackers or analytics cookies on this site. The only cookies we use are essential ones strictly needed for site security and administration. If any of this changes, we will update this policy first.

How we use your information

Waitlist emails are used to send you the launch announcement, your badge number, and first access instructions when Siplys opens in DFW, and for nothing else unless you separately opt in. Partner application details are used to review the application, contact you about it, and, if approved, help set up your shop profile. If you checked the optional partner updates box, we may send occasional partner news, and every such email will include a way to unsubscribe. We also use information as needed to operate and secure the site and to comply with law.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers that run this site on our behalf: Supabase (database hosting, United States), Vercel (web hosting), Cloudflare (security and content delivery), and, when we send email, an email delivery provider. These providers process data for us and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose information if required by law or legal process, to protect the rights and safety of Siplys or others, or as part of a business transaction such as a merger or acquisition, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.

How long we keep it

Waitlist emails are kept through the launch program and deleted or archived once the program concludes, unless you ask us to delete yours sooner. Partner applications are kept while the application and any resulting partnership is active. You can request deletion at any time.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from any Siplys email using the link in that email. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing [email protected]. We honor these requests for everyone, regardless of where you live. Because we do not track visitors across other websites, we treat all visitors the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.

Security

All traffic to this site is encrypted in transit. Signup data is stored in a database that is locked to server only access; the public site cannot read it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we design for least access by default.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above and post the new version here. For material changes, we will add a notice on the site.
